The neckline is one of the most overlooked parts of clothing styles that greatly affect how flattering a top or dress will look, regardless of accessories. There are dozens of different necklines that change the way your bust, neck and face areas look. In today's blog post, I will be sharing my favorite neckline for large busts since It's a problem I've had since 14. Over the years I've mostly stuck with the V-neck for dresses and tops. It's mainly our only option as large bust ladies. But last year I got more comfortable with trying one new styles and I fell in love with how flattering the Square neckline can be on large busts.
The return of the Square Neckline!
But it's gets pretty boring shopping and always buying all V-neck dresses and blouses. Since discovering the square neckline last year, I haven't looked back. I hadn't realized how flattering it was on large busts! One of my favorite part about my body is my décolletage and a square neckline create the perfect shape and draw the attention away from my chest and to that part of my body. The other details on dresses with square neckline that is the most flattering is a dress with smocking/shirring details around the bodice to give the illusion of a waist without looking like you're with child.
Apart from the mighty V-neck, the cowl neck is the only other neckline recommend for us with large busts and it's depressing.
So how do you flatter a large Bust?
- V-necks
- Square neckline
- Cowl neck
- Low closing blazers/cardigans
- Gathered neckline
- Darts on the bust line
- Mandarin collar with darts
- Smock details in square neckline
