I've come to terms that I will never look good in jeans and I am not sure I'm totally okay with that. I haven't met a bigger denim hater than myself. I think my blog should be renamed the Dadou Hates Denim. A bunch of my blog posts are all about my expressing how I am not a fan of the most popular item in american fashion. Whenever I hear jeans, I think casual and I don't like looking casual. The fact that most jeans look weird or fit me awkward make it even easier for me to dislike them. I still love a good white pair of denim. I think they are more forgiving.
This year, I've decided to give away pretty much all my jeans and keep a white pair. I am finally breaking up with denim. Even growing up, I never quite wore denim because they always look ill fitting on me. I guess that's why I've always wanted to be a designer so I can make clothes that accommodate my body shape. I think I'm square shape with with a proportioned torso but I have quite large bust which takes up most of my upper body. Sometimes people think just because you're skinny everything is a breeze. It really isn't. We're all shape uniquely and we all have our body hang ups. I've tried again and again to like jeans and I don't think it will happen. I've said all this to say that, I've given them enough chances and they've always let me down so it's time to stop trying. Maybe now since I've given up I'll find the perfect pair(one can only hope). I choose to no longer settle for okay fit but the right fit. Our relationship has had a lot of downs, so it's not worth it to continue. I've wasted enough time and money trying to make it work and I've had enough.
Tell me why I just ordered a new pair jeans from Jcrew and I must say they make some of my fav denim styles. We'll see if they make it to the blog or the donation bin.
Update- Headed to the store today to return them, they look terrible on me but so great on the model :(

Do you guys honestly need to hear me talk yet about why you need a camel coat? I'll never shut up, lol. Every year I come on here advocating on behalf of all the camel coats out there. My friends are for sure sick of hearing me tell them to get a camel coat. At this point I may as well be the camel coat spokesperson.
I you want a coat that'll make you look Smart, Stylish, classy and Expensive, get a camel coat or two! On my luxe list is the ultimate camel coat "Manuala icon coat by mmax mara.
Coats are a must when you live in NYC where, the weather gets pretty chilly. Probably the best thing about camel coats is they can be worn with pretty much anything. You can throw it over Denim & a t-shirt, a slip dress, a suited look(or any dress/outfit for that matter).

Camel colored coats are timeless, uber chic and look great with every skin tone and add a dressy element to any outfit. Especially when It's cold out, you could be wearing a plastic bag for an outfit and still look chic with a camel coat over it.
If you are going to splurge on a coat, make it a a classic camel coat. It's the classic staple that never leaves my closet. In fact, all my coats are actually camel colored. I do not own any other color coats which I am working on changing this Fall/winter. I am planning on getting a plaid/beige and blush pink. I honestly think I must always live somewhere cool so I can wear camel coats.
1. The tailored Camel coat; for the office,interviews...
2. The wrap camel coat: or I'd like to call the weekender

3. The robe camel coat : I'd like to call the cover up

4. Camel cape coat: Perfect for fall when the temps are slowly getting colder but not cold enough for a full on coat.
5. The everyday Camel coat and different colors of camel. My closet if filled with different shades of camel coats and they all serve their purpose.
