Hey Guys! Sorry for the break on here, I was in Havana Cuba for 4th of July weekend and I don't think I've mentioned I was going.
We stayed in Vedado during our 5 days trip to Cuba. Vedado in my opinion is bit more modern & fun. Our airbnb was on the main road and I felt like I lived in time square the whole time. It was busy and loud just like New York. I felt home like I never left NYC. The energy of the city is the same I feel in New York to be honest. Everyone is busy doing their thing. Another plus for us, the wifi was on our street and being on the third floor was great due to the connection being pretty strong. We were within 5 minutes walk to the Malecon and 5 minutes car ride to Old Havana.
I would stay up until 2am just watching people live their lives from our balcony. It felt as if I was in a dream or a movie. The Cuban people know how to live. Day and night are one of the same.
Our host's brother Ale recommended us La paisa Fonda for dinner and it was the best. We had dinner there everyday and the prices were unbeatable a whopping $2.25 for the best drinks you'll have in your life. I tried all their fish options since I'm a pescatarian. You must order a cuba libra and the limonada rebelded. Thank me later. Of course rice and beans as our sides.
Thank you for reading,
Xoxo, Rose
