I love Starbucks, and still go there for black coffee once a while. I used to love ordering their frappe, but I've developed a dairy intolerance and the amount of sugar in them is a little scary. I decided to create my own frappe. I have been obsessed with this frappe and I thought I'd share the recipe with you guys. I will be posting a lot more recipes since I have changed my diet completely. I have wanted to go gluten and dairy free for a while but did not think I could do it. I've been doing it for a while now & experimenting & making my own recipes.
You'll be happy about not spending that 5.50 on that Frappe at Starbucks with this recipe. It's so healthy for you. Sugar-free & dairy free, Enjoy!
What you need:
1/3 cup brewed coffee
1/2 cup almond milk(unsweetened, I use califia)
1 cup ice (approximately 10 cubes)
3 teaspoons honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
Pour ice into blender. Add all remaining ingredients. (If you prefer a sweeter drink, add dates(pitted) or more honey.) Blend on low (or use “ice crush” speed) until it reaches a milkshake-like consistency. Pour into a glass and serve with a straw. Garnish with a drizzle of honey/cinnamon, if desired.
